Generator exhaust

My exhaust pipe on my onan 2500 generator exhausts right under my slide out. I need to route the exhaust pipe to exit the other side. The pipe is 1 1/8 od . I'm going to try to use some 11/4 id greenfield and just try to patch the joints. Any better ideas out there ??
