My '11 American Ford Ranger has a payload of 1000. I carried a 600# quad in it once and was very unnerving!! 1000# and the bumper would be dragging!! 3000# would crush it!!
Just out of curiosity, could a guy go to someplace like Australia, buy one and ship it to the US or would the US not allow it in?
I thought the global ranger was a new platform and the US ranger ended production in 2011. So I am not sure there is a direct comparison.
I double checked. His is an 07 Ford Ranger (Global) turbo diesel with 2500# cargo capacity. I'll guarantee you my Ranger is nowhere close to that!!!
