Robert, that is completely and utterly false. The F150 does NOT have several different frames for different applications. The different frame sizes are for different truck configurations and wheel bases like how the global trucks have different frame lengths for different configurations. Check for yourself on page 11 2014 F150 Technical Specifications.

The F150 RegCab 144" wheelbase has a thicker frame when it comes with the HD Payload option. It also has a HD axle, wheels, stiffer suspension and LT tires.
The HP Payload F150s are designed and built to carry heavier loads than the non-HD payload F150s. And as I understand it, so are the world trucks. I suspect their low tow capacities are due to their low HP.
