What's the weight of a midsized truck camper? 1,500lbs? Tongue weight of a trailer with a couple of ATV's? 150-200lb's at most.
UTV has to fit with the tail gate closed if you're going to tow a TT. Will that even fit? And if it does, that's still only ~1,000lbs plus a max of say 6,000lb TT would total 1,600lb's payload.
Not seeing the need for 3,000lb payload unless you're hauling for work, as Marty said.
Denvermike give up you have used your Shiner Bock moniker, why try the other Moniker
Colorado 71 was used on the Australian Caravanners Forums and Denvermike on the Car Advice Site which was discussing that the payload of the Tundra which was to be imported into Australia , he said it was was "underated" but Midsize Pickups were" overrated"
He has a thing for Midsize Pickups saying that they would not make the profit of Fullsize
He opposes all what the UAW opposes. He makes a big thing about capacity ratings no matter what Non-US manufacturer, from the Truth About Cars website. Discussion is about the Holden Ute but same issues regarding Ford Ranger
Truth about Cars site
Robert Ryan – I’m mot talking about the equivalent truck. Equivalent rating. Aussie capacity ratings are grossly overrated. Ratings are left entirely to the OEM’s sense of humour!

US DOT, NHTSA payload rating are extremely conservative, so it should be on par with any smaller pickup, in the very least.
By the same token there mate, if I imported a 1990 Hilux to the US (under the 25 year rule), then maxxed out its factory payload/tow rating, US regulators would consider it way overloaded.
And there's obviously no US DOT, SAE equivalent in OZ/NZ/SEA. Is there? You mean to tell me they leave it up to the car makers/OEM to set tow/payload ratings???

Similar arrogance by Colorado 71 about Australian Off Road Caravans, that may have been imported from Australia. Australians who saw my transferred post, were enraged, by the vast amount of false information
RV NET Travel Trailers enraged Australian reactions
