Global Ranger is cool but irrelevant here in the US. I can't even look at one in person here. Plus it's way too small for my family...same for the New Colorado.
My next truck will be a full size crew cab truck...global Ranger has zero impact here or on my purchasing decision..it's not good enough to make it in the US. There is a huge reason why mid-size trucks are niche market here. People don't want them.
Contractors around here are starting to choose the Euro type vans that are coming available here.
Global Ranger has zero to offer the U.S.
The F series does everything the Ranger does and more as well as the other makes truck line ups. One reason why the Titan and the Tundra hasn't taken off here is due to choice. You basically have one truck with a couple cab configurations to choose from.
With the big three you have the ability to choose the right tool for the job. Light duty work and general household stuff is handled by the 1/2 tons...need a little more capacity but still need some street manners, buy a SRW 3/4 or 1 ton. Need some serious hauling? We have Dullies for that.
Choice, it's a great thing.
Thanks!

No, we have a vast array of vehicles that do what a F250/F350 does. The Global Ranger, has an almost 3/4 payload, can go Off Road almost as.well as a Jeep Wrangler, fuel economy half of that of a gas F150. It is pretty good as a basic Pickup, but a lot more choices for the jobs of a F250/F350. Big negative for us is the lack of off road performance , with a substantial load and load generally in the basic US 1/2 ton

That is pretty old hat here and there are a lot of those Vans available outside NA
