Find another mechanic ! Miss information. Try finding a 'good' 4x4 shop and
talk to their diff person
My GMT400, 1996 Sub with a 14 bolt FF and G80 locker has had synthetic ever since
it's first flush at 500 miles. I've owned it since new.
Again, the G80 is a locker with clutches that needs no LS friction modifier additive. The difference between your's and mine is that your's has a lower RPM
centrifugal switch.
It has not leaked a drop and is now at +163K miles. VERY HARD miles. I've had
one rear off the ground many, many times to have the locker walk me out of whatever it was
