GM Admits Fudging Payload Ratings

Problem is, the people who actually care about this stuff probably represents less than 10 percent of the truck buying population. Until that figure greatly increases, the manufacturers are free to fudge the numbers as much as they can legally get away with, and the average truck buyer will just eat it up. Anytime I can I try to educate a friend, truck and rv salesmen about payloads and realistic tow ratings, but the reality is they don't seem to care.
