Wondering if stopping at 22,000 on the 3500 trucks is because the new trucks of 4500 and up are due out real soon ?? They will be GM body and duramax with navistar frame . My good friend works for navistar,and said the trucks are almost ready. The way I look at is that GM has the truck line covered from Colorado up to the big dogs.

I was just looking this evening for some information on the new GM 4500 pick-ups. All I could find was those goofy cab forward trucks. Do you have a link to anything about the 4500 pick-up or cab and chassis?

Is this going to look like their currant pick-ups or are they going to repeat the old Top Kick idea that didn't fly with their customers? Only people that were buying them were the commercial buyers. It was a great truck just not what most buyers wanted and why it went the way of the dodo bird just not enough sales to support it. Don

I saw a Class C with a chevcab and 4500 on the fenders. It was new and for sale. Chevman

If I was a bettin' man, I'd put $$$ on it that the cab will resemble an existing IH cab much like when IH, was making trucks for Caterpillar. Tho to CAT's specs, it was essentially a re-badged IH w/ CAT markings. Sorta like Chevy- GMC trucks.

That is correct for the re-badged Isuzu cabover. The pickup cab-chassis truck will be getting DuraMax engines from what I could find, and so will the corresponding International trucks (which will use the GM cab as well). I suspect this joint venture partially arose out of Navistar's need for a smaller, reliable, EPA-compliant motor.

Seeing GM just dropped Opel/ Vauxhall and Mary Barra wants to chop slow selling lines , you could be waiting a long time for these MDT pickups
