So Left Lane is part of a group called Jumpstart media which says of itself is an automotive "marketing" company that is owned by Hearst Publications which touts this on it's website;

"Jumpstart Automotive Group is committed to the development of quality content and services for consumers and to maximizing publisher revenue and advertiser results"

Maximizing publisher revenue at it's finest no doubt learned from it's parent company and their long and wretched history of what they call "journalism".
