I am pleased with my 6.0 2500 HD pickup. it does all that I need done. And being flex fuel is a distinct plus. Curren price today for E85 in my area is $1.27. Regular is $2.07. My 2500 averages about 10 mpg on the stuff, so at the current price that is about 12 cents a mile. For a diesel 2500 to match that 12 cents a mile, it would have to average (all miles, 25 mpg. Not likely. On road trips (empty) on E85, my 2500 has averaged about 13.8 mpg. A diesel 2500 would have to average 30+ mpg just to break even on the per mile fuel cost. Again, not likely.
If the 6.6 isn't flex fuel also, then I will not be interested. Keeping my 6.0 2500 for a long, long time is not a bad thing for me. No need to buy the latest stuff just for the ooh aah factor.
