GM Recalls 473K Trucks for Brake Pedal Issue

Question

GM is recalling select trucks and SUVs to address an issue with their brake pedals.

The recall covers over 473,000 vehicles in the U.S. and Canada and includes the 2015-2016 Chevrolet Silverado HD, GMC Sierra HD and Chevrolet Tahoe police vehicles.

Hey, I just saw another post that the RV industry wants to limit their regulations so they don't have to be involved in all these building standards. My my. Lawyers and big business:B The auto MFGs should have got on the band wagon long ago and said these vehicles are only meant to get you to and from the nearest town on sunny days.Brakes not required :B

my onstar ap notified me several days ago that my truck is affected by the recall.  Called dealer, they have the info for the recall, said it takes about 45 minutes to do.  Since we are headed out for some long trips pretty soon,  recall is scheduled to be taken care of tomorrow AM.
