The other problem with Ford selling more trucks is where to build them. If already running 3 shifts 24 hours a day and 5 days a week, with some mandatory Saturdays, then where are they going to come from?
They can only make so many trucks, unless they tool up another plant to make more. And most of their factories are working near capacity. Their only hope might be to start making the F-450 and F-550 in the Ohio plant that used to make the Econolines, and will be producing only the F-53 and commercial E-350 and E-450 dual rear wheel van cab and chassis models starting next year. This will free up production for another few hundred trucks per month at the other plants.
