This is just ridiculous! BK is way better than McD`s. at least I don`t feel sick after BK!
And to top it off I get to drive away in a Ford and log in here as Dodge Guy! :B
As you might expect from the guy driving the 3rd place truck... I prefer Wendy's over McDonalds and Burger King...
Actually you prefer Taco Bell- monkey44Nomad IITalking about BK and McD ... the price of new trucks makes me sicker than any meal from either of those.
A truck, its's a truck!! Insane cost. $70K+ for a pickup?
I often wonder with today's technology and web access for nearly everyone - how much would the price reduce if GM/Ford/Dodge eliminated the dealer and sold direct to the buyer?
Just open your PC/Mac, pull up the page, choose model, color, equipment and wait for delivery right to your door like so many other products today that once were "Brick & Mortar only.
Dealers would become service centers instead (like now, mostly once the sale is final) And most dealers claim they make "pennies" on a sale, so why bother?
Compete on quality of service rather than manipulating the price of a vehicle.
Makes sense to me :):):) - goducks10Explorer

The two worst topics on here. Trucks and weights. I always get a kick out of my trucks better than yours arguments. Neither one had anything to do with building it. Someone else built it and yet the owners think it's better than someone else's. I never could figure out why someone is so proud of something they didn't make themselves. It's like going to McDonalds and getting a hamburger and telling the guy that goes to Burger King that mine is better.

Yeah but McDonalds sells more so it has to be better :D
That is because they market to those that do not know better! Sound familiar?
It certainly does. - ktmrfsExplorer II

I did not make that statement to say anything about Ford but I see all the Ford haters took it that way. To me its like combining VW, Audi, and Porsche to beat another brand. :S
Why would they not take it that way? It is the way you meant it. I don't get why you cant wrap your head around this GMC trucks + Chevy trucks = GM trucks. Pretty simple. If customer A buys a GMC and Customer B buys a Chevy the money goes to General Motors. Pretty simple concept. The trucks are the same minus minor visual differences. However even if they were radically different, it would not matter, the number of vehicles sold under the GM umbrella goes to GM. Should GM create another line of pickups under Hummer or some other line, the sales would be credited to GM truck numbers.
Just for the record, I am not a Ford hater or a Ram hater, I don't buy their products but I have nothing against them. You on the other hand have serious issues with not being able to deal with the fact that for THIS YEAR, GM out sold FORD in pickup trucks. Personally while it makes me happy to see that, I don't really care that much. Ford has outsold GM in pickup trucks in others years so pay back is.....what it is. So let it go.
really nothing new on volume comparisons.
For many many years Ford F series has been the best selling BRAND of pickups. No doubt about it.
For many many years, GM has sold more pickups than Ford.
This year is no different.
personally, I don't care who sells more, I'm just happy that the ford, gm and chrysler offerings in pickups are all very very good, yet different enough that most everyone can find what they really like best and end up with a great truck. - dodge_guyExplorer II

Zing.
I read somewhere that the average transaction on an 2015 F150 was right at $45,000, excluding taxes and registration and whatnot. That seems insane to me considering that most of them are configured as pretty light duty family haulers with limited capabilities.
I have less than that in my X and current trailer that I bought 10 years ago!!!! With 5k left over! - dodge_guyExplorer II

I could have gotten the GM discount before my purchase. I preferred to have a proven engine design/performance so that's why Cummins was my choice.
So Chevy and Ford are not a proven design? - goducks10Explorer
