No news here. Combining two company's sales totals to beat another brand is not right.
So Ford does not include Lincoln in SUV sales??????

I'm pretty sure they are not two different companies. All profits go into the GM piggy bank :W - Me_AgainExplorer III

I don't think the reviews matter, Tacomas have a cult following and stellar resale value. I think most buyers just head down to the Toyota dealership and buy one without even considering other options. I do agree that they'll do a full refresh sooner rather than later, though, cause I think the quick update was more of a stop-gap for them in light of the new competition.
They really do... growing up I always wanted an old Tacoma 4 cylinder manual transmission 4wd pickup. They always looked so cool (to me at least) and it seemed like they never broke down!
Then I started researching truck capabilities, fuel economy and price and realized that for about the same price as a Tacoma I could buy a Tundra that got close to the same mileage, had WAY more capability and was about the same price.
But they keep making and selling them things, so they are doing something right!!! - IdaDExplorer

didn't ford go a portion of 2015 not shipping the new F150's?
They shut down both factories for the changeover, albeit staggered. Model availability was low for a good chunk of 2015, which is said to have affected sales #'s.
It doesn't look like the GM midsize truck twins stole any significant sales from the Silverado/GMC full size. I seem to remember an article saying that ~50% of the midsize trucks GM sold are conquest customers (coming from another brand) so that is a big deal and a big win for GM. Wonder if Ford is kicking themselves yet...
Ford will be bringing the Ranger back. Sounds like it will be Unibody, which will hit a different part of the market, but I think it is a good idea.
After this amount of time I was curious to see what impact the C&C would have on the Taco. It appears based on the overall numbers, Toyota is not certainly not cowering in fear. Next year when the new Taco is on the lots it may be even worse. I don't think it is possible to topple that pickup from its perch.
Have you read any of the reviews of the new Taco? Reminds me of the new Chevy 1500 twins that came out just a couple years ago where they were not aggressive enough and caused GM to hurry the current trucks to the market. If the reviews of the Taco are any sign, It wouldn't surprise me me if you see another refresh in a short amount of time.

We bought a new 2015 Chevy Impala LT with the LFX V6 (305 hp) in Feb., 2015. It's the new style Impala with the German Opel designed Epsilon ll platform.
It's been a great car so far and touch wood...nothing has needed attention. We plan to do road trips in our retirement years and this car with it's power, comfort, size seems to more than fill the bill.
In the fall, we went through Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Manitoba and Saskatchewan. Lot's of miles and not so much as a hiccup from the Impala.
BTW, we tried out a bunch of domestics ...Ford Explorer and Chrysler's Jeep Cherokee, etc...all very nice and I would say you can't go wrong with either of these two vehicles.
In answer to Dodgeboy, having checked out/tested offerings from GM, Ford and Chrysler....I don't think you would make a mistake buying any of these company's products.
What fuel mileage did you get on your trip? What is your fuel mileage to date?
I drove an Impala for 6 months last year, and average 29 mpg for the 18k miles. I managed to get 32 mpg on a 1200 mile trip through Michigan.
We didn't do any regular mileage checks, but I did occasionally check the car computer to see what MPG the Impala was getting on the highway. Your 32 miles per American gallon tallies with our instant on computer mpg.
Our driving conditions were usually either long, straight highways...interstates a lot...on the prairies...or winding, hairpin curves in the mountains.
Interstate speed limits in Wyoming are 80 mph....75 mph in Montana and South Dakota. The Impala's engine (3.6 liter DOHC V6- 305 hp) ran around 2000 rpm or a bit less at 80 mph. This engine has a 7000 rpm redline and plenty of low end and mid range...along with good top end power and it was loafing during the entire trip.
BTW, top marks to GM with this powertrain. Also the ratios for the 6 speed automatic are very well matched to the HP/torque range and the car, in a variety of road situations always seemed to be in the right gear.
In my opinion the good MPG for a large, heavy (3800 lbs) sedan, is due to a combination of factors...the slippery (low drag coefficient), German Opel designed Epsilon ll platform, the excellent and optional power train. - NC_HaulerExplorerCongrats to GM, though Chevy was my favorite of the " Dynamic Duo":) I owned Chevy's in the late 60's, early 70s, and owned Chevy pickups from 1975 through mid 2010.. Nothing wrong with them, loved them, and love the Ram...Nothing homer about this.:)
