There are always going to be lemons out there and any car can have problems line up. My '03 Silverado 1/2 ton has had relatively few minor issues. Of course there have been periodic small problems that I've addressed, but at 165k miles it hasn't had any major breakdowns. However, I recently upgraded to a new Silverado 2500HD and hope it does as well as my old '03. Knock on wood.
