Not sure on the Chevys, but my 15 Ram 3500 SRW is just a few hundred lbs less GVW than my 03 DRW.
The 3500 Ram LB SRW has a GVW of 12,300 and over 4k lbs payload.
You should have many options.
Your limitation will be your tires. Address that and enjoy!
