Don't think I actually said that I leave them on all night. There is a time in the early evening, after the sun goes down, the late night snack is being cleaned up and one leans back in his or her own chair to gaze into mesmerizing campfire flames... That is nice to have some guiding light. AND if you really look at the pic, the lights I have behind my pan window are so dim that one can barely even see them from 25 feet away. They are more of a subtle glow. The side light you see is the light that keeps us from falling into each other. That goes out at 10 PM. From then on the stars and the moon take over. Sheesh.
