Always have 2 Tiki Torches to light the camp site up.
Do the people that camp in that small tent sleep standing up?
The one tiki torch almost looked like a ball cleaner on the 18th tee. I was wondering what golf course they were boon docking on. LOL!
FYI, you knew the tent was a shower, right? - 352Explorer
- BigBlockFordExplorerAfter the kiddos & pups go to bed, we flip on the range hood light, which I purposely replaced with the smallest LED wedge I could find, faces down, and lives behind a frosted cover. This puts just enough light in the rig for DW & I to return from the campfire for a refill without tripping over a fur-kid (both black lab mixes) or flipping on an extra light
No kiddos present, hunting camp, or father/son weekend and we rely on the stars, moon, and campfire- well the first two at least this summer in the NW...
BBF - gpascazioExplorerAs little light as possible. Expect for loud noises bright lights are the next biggest irritant for us.

- dakonthemountaiExplorerI have 4 200watt halogen 12volt flood lights. One on each corner of my camper. That way I don't have to even know if it's night because I'm afraid of the dark, and it also helps others to find their own campers during the night, as I leave them on all night while we sit outside with our portable big screen TV watching Rock videos or football games... ;)
TOTALLY KIDDING! Just thought I'd throw that in before this thread gets TOO heated and perhaps shut down... :)
Actually, I too wear a headlamp when outside if it's totally black out and need to take the dog for a walk. I have a motion sensor over my door on the camper with a dim led light to assist when I come back. It too goes off when I'm in for the night. When eating outside we use a propane or led lantern while eating. Then off. Other than that it's just the glow from the campfire or moon and stars...
:)
Dak - mi_drewExplorerI wired a switch that turns on the clearance lights and tail lights and is powered through the converter. Makes it easier to find the camper when I am still on the lake after dark.
- rwiegandExplorerI'm out there to get away from the lights. Starlight is plenty.
- skipbeeExplorerA few years ago we were camped in the Gambol Rodgers Florida State Park on the beach just a bit north of Daytona Beach in the spring time.
After dark the Rangers came through and had everyone extinguish all lights. It was the sea turtle hatching season and the hatchlings would come toward lights rather than head out to sea.
The Gambol Rodgers SP is a definite"10" by the way. - azrvingExplorer

We camp by the ocean allot! Most campers like to decorate there camp site with wind catchers and whirly gigs, mostly fish and birds,, We have four fish,a few pink flamingo's and a few LED lighted decorations along with our LED flag pole light,,not uncommon for campers to walk around and check out others sites.. Not like we are breaking up some ones solitude and darkness as the main access road is a county road and has street lights,, also the areas of the public showers and toilets are lit.
We enjoy sitting out at night with a nice fire going sipping our cocktails and enjoying our Coastal Decorations! If one wants solitude and darkness,, you just need to walk a hundred yards or so to the beach. Darker than the inside of your hat as light does not travel far there,, I do wear my headlamp while walking the dog at night,,this has not yet upset the ecosystem and plant life of the Pacific ocean..
For us we enjoy the decorations at night and during the day,,none have yet kept us from sleeping. We decorate for our enjoyment and the enjoyment of others!
But, but, you could be confusing the wildlife by having those fake birds etc. It may hurt their "feelings". :)
