I don't understand your sarcasm here... who are you referring to? Which tires are not recommended for trailer usage, since the Marathons are ST tires (only for trailers) and LT tires technically shouldn't be on trailers anyway (even if most agree they are better then ST tires)
Why shouldn't LT tires be on trailers?  If so, why would Sringdale put them on their Rugged Terrain TTs from the factory?
Because they don’t make an aggressive off road tread in a ST tire, and the aggressive tread is certainly no optimal for highway use be it a ST or a LT tire, nor is it optimal for a tandem axle trailer in normal use… but they are round and will work… 
Plus I don’t know what other upgrades were made to the rugged terrain trailer to make the aggressive tread and off road use acceptable…
