I don't understand your sarcasm here... who are you referring to? Which tires are not recommended for trailer usage, since the Marathons are ST tires (only for trailers) and LT tires technically shouldn't be on trailers anyway (even if most agree they are better then ST tires)
Why shouldn't LT tires be on trailers?  If so, why would Sringdale put them on their Rugged Terrain TTs from the factory?
I would use LT tires on my trailer, but you asked....
Lower pressure for same weight rating results in a less stiff sidewall and can increase sway. ST tires are designed for trailers, where LT tires are designed for pickup trucks / vans
