I recently installed a set of the Goodyear Wrangler All-Terrain Adventure with Kevlar, LT285/65R-18, E rated (3,640 pounds). They're a new tire, released last March, I believe. Slightly different tread pattern than the Silent Armours and a longer tread warranty, to 60k miles. I ordered them from TireRack, along with new rims.
They ride nice. Not a lot of flex, that I can tell. About my only experience with them is driving to NH to pick up our new truck camper. The truck was either totally empty, or totally loaded. No experience with day-to-day driving. I did notice they're not loud. With the windows up, my stock exhaust was louder. Our trip home from NH with the camper involved driving through a freezing rain and ice storm. Salt trucks were out in force on the highways and I never felt a slip or wander. The roads into our stick house were a little ugly, but I didn't have any trouble locked in four wheel. Our driveway was a sheet of ice, so I had to park in the snow/ice/slush at the top of the hill. Granted, I was in 4 wheel and there was over a ton in the bed of the truck, but the tires didn't slip.
