I am setup with my battery bank to run a good solid 20AMPS from 8PM to 11PM as well as the usual parasitic drain for the whole 24 hours and just make it down to Battery Bank 50% charge state by 8AM the next morning. This is when I run my generator for three hours using smart mode charging to get my batteries back up to their 90% SOC so I can do this all over again the next day/night off the batteries. Usually do this twice a year for a week camping at ELKMONT just down the road from CADES COVE. One of my favorite camp sites. Roger on the heavy canopy of tree cover keeping solar panels almost useless... Its like a rain forest in there and when it rains the trees will drip water for two or three days it seems haha...
It does take planning or it gets dark on you around 10PM at night.
We have NEVER needed A/C inside the Natl Park. Always 10-15 degrees cooler than from the local towns down the mtn. We always like to get creek side camp sites as well.
