Grillin'

We store our Coleman Roadtrip (Blue model) and a Camp Chef Explorer 2 burner stove in the pass through. Just clean them up as good as we can before storing. I have considered replacing the Roadtrip with either a Weber Q 2000/2200 model, or the Camp Chef grill box that goes on the stove. The Roadtrip takes up a fair amount of real estate!!! We also have a heavy duty 10x10 Ez-Up, a tote with electric and water hook up stuff. I decided at this point not to partition off under the bed, so as part of the pass through/ under bed storage we have an ice maker, 4 bag chairs, and not sure what I am missing.... We store the awning mats (have 2-9x12) on top of the Camp Chef stove.

N.C., what grill do you have, and what is in the pass through that would damage it?

We got one of these and store an extra wrench for attaching the hose to the propane tank, an ignitor, brush, cooking tools,etc....

Windex works well for killing ants but doesn't affect the cooking process as an insecticide might.

I clean the BBQ grill up before storing it in the outside kitchen. So fare (two years) no problem with smell, mess or Ants.

We found our blue rhino grill had some screws that stuck out and was tearing up the mat we have in our passthrough so we got a boot tray sort of a floor mat thing that has a raised lip to put it on

I store my grill in one of these. The storage compartment where I store it is open to the MH interior, so smells can be a problem if not contained.

If you are concerned about ants and mice perhaps get a plastic tote to store it in.

I have had a grill in my pass through for over 12 years. I haven't had an issue yet.

I have a similar concern. My pass through isn't that large and it's the only one I have. Putting the grill in there would subject it to damage. I've been storing it under the bed and it's a pain.
I think I'm going to buy a large plastic bin for it, that way it's sealed and can be put almost anywhere.

not sure if you have propane or charcoal, but i dump the coals on campfire if needed, give the grate a good scrubbing, then leave it to cool before storing in pass thru storage.

even leaving it out overnight to cool, have yet to have an issue with ants

Clean the grill and into the pass through. 2 years running without an issue.

I imagine people with grills attached permanently in their outdoor kitchens also store in the trailer....
