Grillin'

When we had a grill like yours we put it in a bag and left it in the outside kitchen. When we bought a larger grill we would leave it inside the door on the floor. After the first year I took it out for the winter as I did not want it to attract anything and it now rides in the back of the truck all the time. Do not think I would travel with a grill on the bumper.

Also store it in the pass through. Our Aussie came with a large cloth tote bag to place it in. I haven't had any issues with ants or rodents.

Check out this website: http://billsbumperq.com They have brackets to fit your grills that mount to your bumpers. They make them for standard grills, and the weber Q grill. We bought one and love it !! You store the grill outside the rv and don't need to find another place for it.

My storage compartment door is not big enough form my Weber Q2200 or my Camp chef so they just ride in the back of the truck and go in the Garage when I am at home. I actually used my Q2200 all of last winter as my home propane grill had died and I did not want to buy one until spring time. I have never had an Ant issue with any Grill or smoker.

I have a Weber Q, which is one of the easiest to clean. Most of the time I use an old towel and water with a lot of Dawn soap and a water hose. If I get really energetic, I will take it apart. (only one screw to remove burner) Oven cleaner works well too. I do this at the end of each trip

I keep our Nexgrill in the pass through. It is locked down with a bungee cord. I save the deep cleaning until we get home. No problem with ants.

Years ago I first stored our Weber Q100 in a large contractor sized plastic garbage bag and when it wore out just replaced it with a new one.



Then I came across a large sports bag, put a Rubbermaid shoe tray inside for support, and voila - instant Weber Q bag.



Later I found this plastic storage bin, ironically with the exact shape of the Q.



Eventually wore it out so now I store our newer Q120 in this Rubbermaid bin and store it in the back of our Avalanche when it's not needed - out of sight, out of mind, away from "sticky fingers" who think they may like my Q as much as I do. ;)

Im going to post this but I want to make it clear I'm not advocating it for everyone, because grills may be different and what works for me may not work for you. This is what I do, as recommended by a grill salesman. Your mileage may vary, act accordingly.

I keep my portable in a vinyl bag that came with it. They no longer make my model and it's been a great grill for 8 years. When I'm done grilling for the weekend, I ususally put a piece of aluminum foil over the entire grate and let it run until it stops smoking, usually not more than 10 min. When you take the foil out, most of what remains is white ash, even down below. If you do this regularly you will avoid the greasy buildup and hence the attration of odor and vermin. Works for me, but take care trying it yourself. All the heat stays below the grilling surface and it can get very hot down there. Don't walk away while you are doing it.

three years, ours came with a cloth/plastic case. Put it in there and store it in the storage compartment. Never had an issue

My roadtrip doesn't easily fit in the storage area of our small camper, so I put it in the SUV when traveling. I also put it in my basement while not traveling, so I like to keep it clean. Cleanup takes about 10 minutes with a grill cleaner. It's 4 years old and still looks new.
