i was wondering,,,,, is it possible to make biscuits in a gas grill

- I have made biscuits, with a flat pan turned upside down,over the burners,biscuits on pan. and a pot over the top of them. We were not prepared and just has to make due.
And they soaked up the gravy deliciously. mosseater wrote:

You don't make biscuits on a gas grill, silly! You make them in a pie iron over a hot, smokey, hardwood fire. With bits of chocolate and marshmallow and cherry pie filling in between! Seriously, take a Pillsbury biscuit, separate it in halves, butter up a pie iron (lots of butter, more than you think you need!) Place one half in the pie iron and load it up with anything you love, then press the other half down on top, sealing the edges, then clamp it in the iron and commence "grilling". Turn often, check often, take out when golden brown and top with your fav icecream. Yum!
BTW, it works equally well with bacon, eggs, and sausage in the morning. Oooo man! I want to go camping!- You don't make biscuits on a gas grill, silly! - A closed Gas grill should work.
I make Biscuits in my Smoker.
Sometimes I cheat and stuff a DO in my smoker. (No smoke taste) - A Dutch Oven will contain enough heat to make Biscuits without
Having coals on the top. Takes practice.
(Set them on something inside the DO.) - A gas grill with the top closed is basically an oven, so yes, you can bake biscuits or nearly anything else that you can bake in an oven.

I don't go camping without biscuits. I even bent a cookie sheet into a biscuit pan so it slides right into the oven. Dang, now I'm hungry for some biscuits, lol. - To answer your question, yes.
On a cookie sheet, and you have to watch the temperature closely...
