gutters

we were out camping this last weekend when we noticed water trickling down the kitchen window. it wasn't raining, just morning drizzle from the roof. my wife noticed for the first time, that the gutter over the awning was split and not one continuous piece. we also saw this on the other side. is this normal? we have a keystone hideout.
