Hanging outdoor fan

I was contemplating hanging a oscillating shop fan from the kitchen slide on my camper I was going to buy a wall mount fan and bolt it to a piece of angle bracket with a clamp screw that fit over the top of the slide.

I could also mount two smaller ones on either side of the kitchen slide with lamps.

I didn’t know if anyone had done this before and didn’t want to reinvent the wheel. I don’t want them on the ground because ground space is limited and kids knock them over.

  • Ok. Thank you. I wasn’t going to permanent mount to the rv. I was going to use screw clamps or spring clamps to hold it on

What size fan would I need to circulate air and keep gnats and flys away?
  • Just keep in mind, anything you mount to the RV MUST be water proof or you can have a big problem with water intrusion into the wall of the RV.
  • i was looking into 12v wall mount fans. for like $50 to $75 dollars you can get something that looks decent and runs on the battery. alittle pricey for a fan but running on 12v is a plus. In case the camp ground loses power or you want to go boondocking you still have air flow.
