I drive in windy areas and with my dually, even biggest camper is not a problem in handling. But 2017 F350 has excelent suspension.
Before I had 2006 F350 C&C and that was teeth rattler. Still good handling, but combined with lot of headaches.
At some point I was considering buying pop-up as 2nd camper for solo trips, but not only they are not cheap on West Coast, I did some additional comparison.
I had 2 campers in 12' length.
1 basement model, that makes 13ft height, the other is Lance what is over a foot lower and and few hundreds lb lighter.
Would you expect big difference in mpg?
Not. Hard to make fair comparison on different roads, but I drive campers at 60 mph and both of them gave me over 12 mpg.
If there is a difference in fuel consumption - it is not much measurable.
