The typical RV steps bounce as you walk up or down them. Depending on your age, size, agility the movement of the steps can impact you ability to walk up and down the steps.
The newer aftermarket steps resolve this stability issue. - profdant139Explorer III also have the Glowsteps Revolution. The trailer shakes a lot less when we go in and out.
- myredracerExplorer IIThis is what the Glowsteps look like. They are very heavy duty and flex/move a lot less compared to the ordinary Lippert steel steps. Watch someone walk up and down the steel steps and you may surprised at how much they move. Doesn't matter how high or low the site is on the stair side of the site, they always extend out so you can even steps all the way up.
I wouldn't want the Mor/ryde steps like in 2nd photo. Lipper has entry steps with the treads made from aluminum. I doubt they are any advantage over their steel steps. - mosseaterExplorer III have to admit, I have not given any thought to changing our steps. - PeteK-HouExplorerPPL is having a sale on the MORryde steps for the next week...
- JackfateExplorerAnother vote for Torklift’s revolution glow steps. Had them 2 years now , much safer than others. Only downside I see is cost. Aluminum doesn’t rust or need repainted. And as for bending I’d guess you never seen/ used these steps . In my application I went from 3 uneven spaced to 4 evenly spaced steps that are not graded as steep as the original steps

Aluminum will bend and break faster than steel. I do not find steps "SEXY," only functional. My Italian wife is Sexy! They will however, with proper care last a long time.
Which one ?
Your "sexy Italian wife" or the "steps"
