Haunted Trailer or What?

So we came home from camping over the weekend and started to unpack the trailer, when we opened the door we heard the radio playing. Strange, we had listened to it over the weekend and I said to myself maybe we just forgot to turn it off. Funny thing was we had been using the radio in the Aux mode with our phones and it was now on our favorite FM station. Didn't give it any more thought, we put the trailer away. The next day I go out to get something out of the trailer, no radio playing, I shut the door and go to drain the fresh water tank and I hear the radio come on. I stop and listen for a few moments and the radio turns off. Now I'm somewhat freaked out, the wife is convinced its haunted. I tend to lean towards an electrical issue. Any thoughts out there?

    Reminds me of a time I helped a neighbor install a ceiling fan remote control. I like it so much that I bought the same thing.

    After I installed mine, I checked the functions. Moments later my freaked out neighbor called me and said her fan was haunted. I looked across the street and could see her fan lights blinking as I changed mine lol
    You would think they would be a different frequency.

    Now, if the radio comes on after the fuse was pulled, you really do have an issue.

    I wouldn't do that. The ghost will just move into your house now. At least it was contained in the trailer, but now all bets are off.

    But I'm pretty sure we won't here from you again anyway :)

    Some very funny and some practical answers, for now the fuse is pulled so it doesn't run down my batteries if it comes on. I will do more investigating on the next trip. At least this thread was good for a laugh.

    I once put the small USB driver for a wireless mouse in my wife's laptop without her knowing. Every once in a while I'd just wiggle the cursor. She was POSITIVE someone had hacked into her computer and was using it. :B

    I have an app on my phone that controls the TV. My 14 year old has been convinced the TV is haunted for almost a year now.

    I don't think I'll tell him till he moves out.

    Does it have a remote control wireless transmitter to turn it on and off ? If it does someone else has one with the same frequency and is accidentally turning your radio on.

    Even if it doesn't have a remote maybe it was made with the option of having one. You didn't get the remote but, the radio does not know that. Some how, someway, the radio is picking up a remote signal and turning itself on.

    What ever the answer, you may have to get a new radio to solve the problem. Or, call a exorcist.

    I would suggest several cases of beverages on ice, invite at least 8 friends over. Then discuss the problem and either try some of the simpler fixes, hold a seance or do an exorcism.

    Haha.. my phone has a universal remote with infrared transmitter. Lots of fun to play around with electronics without it looking like I'm doing anything.
