.....If yo get the 30A, you'd better verify the voltage with a meter before you plug in.DO NOT TRUST THE ELECTRICIAN!!!
X10!!
Been there done that and BOOM!
Before you let anyone wire you up a shore station for your RV, PRINT THIS OUT and give it to them AND STAND THERE while they are doing it!!

Everyone INCLUDING electricians will want to put a dryer outlet wired to 220. An RV is not 220. All it is is a dedicated 30 amp breaker with a special ""RV outlet"". As many have mentioned above.
I say all this because I hired an ELECTRICIAN to hook up a shore station for my MH. I told him it was not 220 explained the difference in the outlet from a dryer vs an RV outlet.......AND HE STILL WIRED IT WRONG, used the RV plug but just had to give it 220.:R
I went out of town with the RV while the work was being done. I pulled in very late in the evening and actually was excited to be able to pull into my new RV port with all the hookups ready, until that is, I plugged the coach in.
I plugged in and lunched the air conditioner, converter, and later on down the road found out most of the wiring, outlets, gfi, etc where all crisped too. :(
So just saying, be careful and make sure it is wired correctly.
You are looking at around $3,000 in repairs if it is wired wrong.
The label of electrician is not a guarantee that it will be. Some think they know better than you and don't know squat about RV's.
