Like others have said, this is not a difficult job but these outlets are often wired wrong by electricians not familiar with RVs and for some reason they think it is to be wired for 220v. This happened to a friend a while back after he hired an electrician to put the 30a receptacle in.
I'm going to sound like a broken record, and this has been repeated several times above, make sure you drive one point home with your electrician:
The receptacle is wired EXACTLY like the 15a and 20a receptacles in your house; one hot, one neutral, and one ground.
