Okay, before you get your "trucks are for towing" panties in a wad, realize many of us use our trucks for daily drivers and unloaded acceleration matters when choosing a vehicle. I've been looking around and am having trouble finding test results for the HD trucks. The best I can find so far is:2014 Ram 6.4 Hemi 4X4 SRW CC 0-60 7.9 seconds 2016 Ram Cummins 4X4 DRW CC (385/900) 0-60 8.6 seconds2015 Ford 6.7 Diesel CC DRW 0-60 7.8 seconds2015 Chevy Duramax CC SRW 0-60 7.2 seconds2015 Chevy Vortec CC SRW 0-60 8.5 secondsI couldn't find the SRW diesel times for the Ford or Ram but am interested. Does anyone have an accurate/recent comparison? The fact that I'm having trouble finding this makes me think I'm a knucklehead and should just be happy with how well they tow :)

You are talking about a TRUCK that weighs 7000# and acceleration times :H8 seconds is pretty decent ------enough so that you can feel it in your butt.

Pickuptrucks.com offers all that in most recent years, along with loaded/towing acceleration tests.I do not think more than ten percent of drivers ever go WOT for 0-60mph. 5000rpm scares them. Tip-in acceleration and how quickly the trans responds seems more important to most people, which is difficult to quantify with standardized testing.

Yeah, 5,000 rpm scares me. The most I've ever done with my Cummins is 3,500..........
