I saw this article yesterday. An all electric truck with a 35,000lb towing capacity and a 5000lb payload capacity. They are discussing quad cab and dually versions as well. Range (unloaded presumably)...

Don't underestimate power of bad economy.
When you look at replies on this forum older than 10 years, you will find lot of comments about Smart cars like "you will never see me in 1 of those".
Bad economy come in the mean time and now Smart cars are considered luxury comparing to those mini-Cheby and Fiats that flooded US roads.
Original Mini 40 years ago was considered "poor man car". Now reborn it is luxury in US.
