Here in Las Vegas you still can buy nice house for not much more than 1/2 cost to build it. Thousands of houses hold by the banks as putting them on the market would make it collapse.
If that ain't sign of bad economy (beside thousands of homeless) than I don't know what would be.
Coming to vehicles, I know US still has number of people who can drive $80k Tesla, but those 10 foot long cars did not exist here a decade ago.
Is 10 foot car a vehicle of choice for American with good job?
I was drooling over 23' long Lincoln convertible on one of the classic shows last year.
It had 1 offer, but the guy passed after measuring that his garage in newer house will not close the door with the car in it.
