I saw this article yesterday. An all electric truck with a 35,000lb towing capacity and a 5000lb payload capacity. They are discussing quad cab and dually versions as well. Range (unloaded presumably)...

Almost 300 mile range. With about 50 mi. remaining, I believe he told me it will charge overnight using a 240v 50a connection in his garage. I'm guessing that's about 12kw. I'm sure the charge current tapers off, so, maybe $15 to "fill-it-up"?? Takes about an hour at a Tesla Supercharger station. Not bad.
Drove this car for a few days. The dash is void of any switches or knobs---just has a huge, touch-screen display and nothing else.
IMO, with this kind of technology available right now, don't think it's stretch to think electric light-duty trucks could be right around the corner.
His configuration is similar to what we are planning. Pretty much full load except the performance package which is a little too crazy for us but everything else fits. White vegan leather, enhanced auto pilot, upgrade rims and tires. Neighbour down the road has it in red. Nice car but prefer the white. Waiting for a bit. Out of the country for awhile.
