I agree that there may be “too” much tech going into the trucks. Great if it works, but as “covered wagon” said, it’s only a matter of time before it fails. Maybe you haven’t heard of some of the horror stories of a few year old Mercedes repairs. The tech is great if you trade often and before it fails, not so much if you don’t.
I would appreciate manual overrides similar to autolocking hubs. If it fails, you can still manually lock. Of course, in the truck realm, most of us have heard of the great emissions tech. Well, it’s great until you are in limp mode with no dealer in sight. ;)
