- CalicajunExplorerGood tip.
- lots2seeinmyrvExplorerHave the A/C covered and the slide in. We are on the outskirts of the blizzard, hope we don't get hit too hard. Stay safe everyone.
- Dick_BExplorerTo me if you are going up on the roof to cover the A/C you might just as well cover the entire top with a Sunshield tarp which also covers all of the vents.
- cccougarExplorerThanks for the tip. Unfortunately I don't have one of this rv covers right now... can I use one of those "blue tarps for now- just for the a/c?

Don't see why not, if you can get it to stay on, and not flap in the wind. I have seen a garbage bag and duct tape used short term.

Cover your a/c unit if you are in the blizzards path . If the snow gets deep and it rains by chance the water can wick into the camper . The snow acts like a sponge . Better safe than sorry
Not saying it's impossible, but I can't see anyway what you are worried about can happen.
Larry - RedRocket204Explorer1-2 feet of snow is not uncommon in other parts of the country, where I live, and the original post info is not something I have ever been concerned about or had happen.
I't a snow storm.. not armageddon ;) - OutdoorPhotograExplorerHmmm, my popup is parked next to the house so I'll go knock the snow off the roof just to be safe. Not hard on a PUP. Last year I kept it in my garage at a different house.
- TurnThePageExplorerMine has yet to leak. About 2 feet of snow is in its final melt stages at this moment. It's sat outside since 2004, often with many feet of snow on top, and occasionally in 50 - 60 mph winds. Once in a while even at the same time. Maybe it's just been lucky...

Ya, I agree. If water could do then it would also leak in a hard driving rain.
