How long are you planning on being out? You said over Halloween and there will be Boy & Girl Scouts so I suppose it will be for a few days? You might get one night out of the battery if it's cold and the furnace is running frequently.
Unlike you - I drycamp (boondock) 99% of the time. Matter of fact the only time my trailers been hooked up to AC is when it's in my driveway. I only have 2 batteries and when I'm out in the Forrest at about 4k-5k elevation it can drop into the teens pretty quick especially this time of year. My furnace probably kicks on 2 or 3 times a night for about 10min each. In my case the batteries may drop about 25% or so. When it gets sunny out (if it gets sunny) I hook up the GoPower 120w portable solar kit and let her charge. If I don't have sun then so be it. I have a 4k generator as a backup but hardly ever have to use it.
I wouldn't go spend extra money on an extra battery unless you want to. If you're not going to be dry camping ever again then it might be a waste. I would just bring extra blankets and maybe a propane fired space heater (if you have one & be careful). If you run out of battery half way though the night then so what it happens. It happens to my brother all the time. Happened to me once as well!
