I agree with 99.9% of the other posts. Plus I think you'll be fine. You yourself gave that one piece of critical information. You used to tent camp.
Bring the generator, and bring some jumper cables. Take your sleeping bags and tent camp, in the trailer. If it's really cold set the heater at the lowest possible temperature and let the sleeping bags take care of the rest. Or you could get creative.
Do you have a second car, or a boat? Borrow the battery out of that second vehicle and put it on the ground under the trailer tongue. Use the jumper cables to connect the two batteries together just like you are jump starting a car. (pos to pos and neg to neg)
Don't turn on lights that you don't need on. Turn lights off when you are done using them.
I camp all the time on two batteries, but I wouldn't let having only one battery stop me from camping. (well except I use 6v batteries but that's another story):)
Just think big comfortable tent with a refrigerator, a water heater, and indoor plumbing, and go enjoy the weekend.
