So, I was doing some reading on some other sites and found some more info about the F-150 Ecoboost. They have a Max Trailer package that adds a larger radiator, trans oil cooler, telescoping tow mirrors, and class IV hitch. They also have a Heavy Duty Payload Package that has 17" seven lug wheels with E rated tires, heavy duty shock absorbers, upgraded springs, 3.73 limited slip, upgraded rear bumper, and HD IV hitch receiver.
Here are the numbers for this package...
GCWR 17100
GVWR 8200
Max Payload 2310
Max Tow 11,000
Curb Weight 5731
365 HP and 420 Torque
With this being the case it seems that this truck might do the trick. It could be the best of both worlds. A little better MPG for my daily driver being 95% of the time, but at the same time this truck would be capable of towing my trailer. What do you all think?
