Short bed truck or long bed truck? With a short bed you may need a hitch extension (Superhitch from Torklift). Long bed truck with a camper with no overhang would work well.
The rear tires & rim actual weight capacities will limit you to a camper with no more than 2,000lbs dry weight. Boat trailer tongue weight is usually 7-10%, but not sure on a single axle trailer. Does the trailer have brakes?
When loading up for a trip make sure all your extra stuff is in the boat --- wood, coolers, propane, water, beer, etc. You can tow more weight than you can haul.
