If you want to test your truck without to much science, take it to a sand and gravel place, get them to load in what you think your camper will weigh,(they have scales) drive it around under different conditions for a while and see what you think of the performance...
See how much the rear sags, air bags or stable loads needed ?
Engine pull the weight on a hill ??? Try passing a few people...
Tires bulging out at the sidewalls??
Transmission overheating?
Ride quality on bumpy roads..
Try a few panic stops at 60 MPH...
Make the truck work under full load..
Try to factor in the same weight plus a big box up in the air about 10 or 11 feet in cross wind from passing trucks etc.. (Stability of the load)
Might cost 30 bucks???
