Hensley Arrow Maintenance

Question

Hi Again,I have a 16 year old Hensley arrow hitch that has been outdoors all its life and has not had maintenance for the last 5 years. Aside from greasing  the spring rods and the hitch ball, I’m wondering if there is any other suggested maintenance? I’ve  emailed Hensley a couple of times but have not received replies. I guess I will call them also but would appreciate any thoughts from Hensley owners.CheersDaniel.

After that many years you should probably remove the 4 grease caps and repack the bearings or at least check the condition of the grease. I would also check the spring bar bushings for excessive play as well. Grease the ball, check the u-bolts and retorque to 45ft/lbs and apply a coat of paint to any bare metal.
