For reference, below are my 2002 2500HD (extended cab/short box) front axle weight averages based on multiple CAT scale weigh-ins over the past few years under loaded conditions:
TV "unhitched" front axle weight: 3,487lbs (average)
TV "hitched" (bars engaged) front axle weight: 3,548lbs (average)
I believe the CAT scale weight tolerance is plus/minus 40lbs.
As you can see my WDH is adjusted to maintain my hitched weight as close as possible to my unhitched weight.
