I cannot find a pic of 4X4/RV No. 4 (Scout II Traveler factory Nissan TD) so I'll feature where we went as the kids were graduating from High School: No. 5. I was completely bitten by the rock crawling bug and searched around for the best platform from which to build a rock crawler. I thought about a UniMog, but Jeanie shot that down as one of the ugliest choices. Then I looked for a Jeep M-715, 1.25 ton army truck, called the five-quarter. They were made from 1966 to 1969 on a modified domestic Jeep Gladiator truck cab and had promise as a TC hauler. Windshield folded down; hard top came off. Cool rig. Could not find one, so i looked at some Jeeps with a long wheel base. I found a low mileage, 4 year old 1982 Jeep CJ8 Scrambler cab top that had never been off road.
Hence started the build up which was on-going for 12 years. This is what it looked like about 10 years into the build;
