Actually Jayco has a pretty good reputation and for some reason an extremely loyal following. To me it's like buying new kitchen cabinets, you can get them from the big box stores, or find a local cabinet shop that builds above the norm. It will cost a little more, but you'll appreciate the quality even more after a few years.
I just think if we're spending that much money, I'd like to see something above and beyond the standard RV construction methods.
Also, seems there is lots of larger corporation buyouts of late. The smaller brands of old are now just that, brands owned by the larger manufacturers. (Thor/Airstream, Jayco/Open Range, Winnebago/Sunnybrook etc.) I suppose I'm pulling for the smaller/independent folks.
