Paying more doesn't guaranty you'll escape without problems. I paid diddle for my 5er compared to what a DRV. Landmark 365, etc costs. I've had only a few small problems and we're starting our 5th camping season with it. I guaranty you can go to any brand forum and read about people having some kind of problems with their high end units. Even the almighty Airstream has it's share of problems.
I would look for the best warranty, best dealer and a floor plan that you really like. Then investigate how the frame, walls, floors and roof are made. Then make sure the one you like has a high cargo capacity.
After all that there's not much more you can do to ensure that you won't have any issues.
Until robots start making them with better parts not much will change.
