Honda 2000 generator
Anyone out there running a honda 2000 genny on propane? If so what are your likes and dislikes and how does it compare db wise to gas? Input greatly appreciated

The benefit of running propane is you will not have carb issues. The reason I have not converted our Honda to dual use is the only time we need a genny is winter camping...which is when we also need the most propane (for heat). So I did not want our heat source and fuel source to be the same...I would not be able to carry enough propane! I am careful to run our genny 1/mo all year to be sure the carb is not gumming up. I also add sea-foam to the fuel (as with all of our small gas motors.
The 1 gal tank on the H2K will run 10-12 hrs...which is plenty for a 2-3 day ski trip....so we don't even need to carry spare fuel. Just fill the genny and off we go.
One other comment about size; the 2k genny's are easily portable...have you seen the size of the 2.4k and 3k gennys?
I would not want to carry one...
Make sure you NEED that much juice before you buy one.
