Dummy Me, but we seldom use the Honda 2000, so after some morning follow-up checking I discovered that the genny was in the ECO mode, thus the cause of the weekend problem!!...Actually, I had totally forgot to check the ECO switch position, nevertheless the genny ran fine for about the first 30 min or so, but as operating temps heat up (for both the genny and air cond) performance falls off a bit...I previously installed the soft-start last year (in lieu of start cap), to help the genny along during extreme hot desert temps after having visited a NV ghost town, but I may still upgrade to the 2200 just for the extra headroom, and the price (at no extra change from former 2000i) is a bargain in my view...Many thanks to all who responded!!
